The SmartAirkey controller is installed in the elevator cab in such a way that reliable BLE communication between the controller and the user phones is ensured. To do this, there must be no shielding metal objects or structures between the controller and the phones.
The SmartAirkey SimpleLock-WA controllers, which have a WiFi antenna connector on the back of the case are used if a WiFi connection solution is selected. The WiFi antenna is connected to the outside of the elevator cabine. It is desirable to provide a direct line of sight between the antenna of the controller and the router. A WiFi router is usually installed in the lift lobby on the ground floor.
The SmartAirkey EM-R relay module is mounted on the outside of the elevator cabine and connected to the elevator control panel.
To identify when the elevator is on the first floor a SmartAirkey Beacon sensor is used, which is installed in the elevator shaft so that the signal from the SmartAirkey Beacon sensor on the SimpleLock controller is maximum when the car is on the first floor (the minimum distance and the minimum number of shielding structures).
